Compared to a simple car wash, an auto detail is a more thorough way to clean your car. An auto detail will make your call look better both from the outside and from the inside. When cleaning the outside of your car, an auto detail may actually include some paint repair. While cleaning the inside of your car, an auto detail will usually take advantage of liquid cleaners and vacuums. An auto detail can also clean areas of you car which are likely never cleaned by yourself - such as your engine or tires.

The cost of an auto detail varies based on several factors. One factor is the size of your Vehicle. For a regular car, the cost may be around $70 - $120. For larger vehicles such as a mini-van, the cost may be around $100 - $160. You are more than welcome to call different auto detail shops in your area to try and find the best price. However, in addition to cost, you also should factor in what is included with your auto detail as not every auto detail offers the same level of cleaning. Furthermore, there are certain upgrades that often cost additional money on top of the auto detail. Some of these upgrades include, dent removal, superior wax, and leather cleaning.

How often should I get an auto detail?

This is up to you of course and it can depend on certain factors. For example, if you drive in harsh conditions such as inclement weather, and if you often eat in your car, you will probably want to detail it more than some other people would. However, as a general rule, we would estimate that most people that get an auto detail, do it twice per year.
